In collaboration with Social Prestige Media, the Beacon Community Charity Foundation hosted a comprehensive training session on media and marketing on September 1, 2023. This session was organised in response to the requests of young adults who wanted to enhance their social media and marketing skills, in turn boosting their chances of finding employment.

Importance of Media and Marketing: Participants gained insights into the significance of media and marketing in today's digital world and its impact on career development.
Effective Networking: Strategies for building professional networks and how to leverage connections for career advancement were discussed.
Building a Brand: Both organisational and personal branding strategies were explored, emphasising the importance of establishing a strong brand identity.
Learning and Skills Development: Opportunities for continuous learning and skill enhancement were highlighted, empowering participants to stay competitive in the job market.
Employment Opportunities: Practical steps for utilising social media and marketing to increase visibility and attract employment opportunities were shared.
Content Creation: Techniques for creating engaging and relevant content across various digital platforms were demonstrated.

Special Guest Speaker

The session also featured Cllr Sameena Zaheer, who shared her firsthand experience of developing social media and marketing skills, which has significantly supported her role as a councillor.
